Becoming a licensed electrician is the most popular career path within these degrees. During training, most electricians will learn the trade through an apprenticeship program, then advancing on to becoming journeyman and master electricians themselves.

A GED or equivalent is usually required to begin training at an electrical and eletronics school, though there may be exceptions. Electrical safety programs and wire circuitry instruction are also included in the training.

Many students who graduate go on to become electrical contractors, licensed and accredited electrical repair engineers, and electricians.
